New Poll Question

I've already written about this new poll question and would like readers to cast their votes -- if not at the ballot box on this blog. We'll give you a voice!
The votes are tallied for the previous survey, "what new business would you prefer in the Wal-Mart/Target complex." The winner is: nothing with 53% of the vote followed by a nice, sit-down restaurant with 46%.
Thanks to all the readers who took the time to vote.

I'd actually vote for no more development or another exit. That shopping area has similar traffic to a regional mall and one way in/one way out. Imagine a traffic accident, construction at the intersection of 24/tollgate or any other problem and you're sitting there for eons. Whoever was the traffic engineer should be shot by Abingdon residents or receive a lifetime income from the developer who didn't have to provide riads or egress and can develop every square inch for rentable SF.

Actually in the early 80's the Constant Friendship Shopping area site was proposed as a regional mall (NOT by the Rouse Company) with it's own entrance and exit off of 95 with no direct link to the community neighborhood. This proposed mall went to the voters in a county wide referendum and was defeated. So this is the results of the mall being defeated by the residents of Harford county.
Years later the Rouse Company proposed a White Marsh style mall at the Intersection of 95 & 543. the residents of Riverside and the surrounding communities stopped that project before it even made it to the drawing board.
