For example, they are the only place to get a list of road closures this evening. We appreciate the attention to breaking news without all the blood-pressure inducing comment boards of other sites.

Thanks for your postings no matter how sporatic they may be. As a newbie in Abingdon (and Maryland as a whole) I like reading local information that's not biased. I second the nod toward The Patch.
They weren't the only place to get the information, as I had it from at least 3 other local news services in my feed reader (I subscribe to all the locals, including yours) before you posted this. And their comments have been getting just as nasty lately. It's the nature of the beast.
One thing we do appreciate about the Patch's comment board is that most people post their real names, which most times (not always) cuts down on the trolling. What other sites were posting last night? Could you let us know? We kept checking the MTA site that wasn't current. Thanks for the comments!
